Willard Ward Dube

Willard "Billy" Dube, 82, of Berlin, NH, passed away at his home with his wife by his side on the morning of Tuesday, March 31, 2026. Billy was born in Berlin on January 27, 1944, and was the son of the late Ward and Lucille (Buber) Dube, and resided in Berlin for most of his life. He graduated Berlin High School class of 1962 and went on to attend Babson College in Massachusetts. Billy served in the New Hampshire National Guard for six years, and worked for several area businesses including the Groveton Mill and US Forest Service, before joining the Berlin City Bank, where he worked as its Treasurer. In 1977, they purchased the County Fair Motel in Damariscotta, ME, which they owned and operated until 1983 when they returned to Berlin. Billy loved riding his motorcycle, traveling throughout the US and Canada, hiking mountains throughout New Hampshire and Maine, and had a passion for airplanes and flying. He also deeply enjoyed going out to eat with his beloved wife.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathy Dube, of Berlin; brother-in-law Billy Evans and wife Sue of Alabama; a sister-in-law Gail Dube of West Milan; several nieces and nephews, including some whom were very close, Courtney, Kerry, Ian, Mark, Trevor, Chris, and Luc, and several cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Craig Dube.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 11 AM at the Evans Cemetery in Shelburne, NH. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are entrusted to the Bryant Funeral Homes & Crematory of Berlin. Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.bryantfuneralhome.net.
