Violette Y. Grondin

Violette Y. Grondin, 87, of Berlin, passed away on Saturday October 11, 2025 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital with her husband by her side. She was born in Berlin on November 17, 1937 the daughter of the late Isaie J. and Mary-Jeanne (Frechette) Roy and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of Good Shepherd Parish and had been employed in the Towel Room at James River Corp. She married her best friend, Normand, on February 2, 1957.

She loved all of her family and grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved being outdoors and most of all, enjoyed going to the casino.

Family includes her husband of nearly 69 years, Normand Grondin, of Berlin, NH; her children Richard N. Grondin and Suzanne Brown and husband Bob; grandchildren Melinda and husband Jeremy, Stephanie, Wesley, John, and Keagan; great grandchildren Haley, Ashlynne, Brenna, Gage, Toby, Mene, Clara and Emily; 3 great- great grandchildren; siblings Maurice Roy of Cuttingsville, VT and Edmond Roy of Gorham, NH; nieces, nephews, cousins and a very special friend, Georgia. She was predeceased by her siblings Lionel Roy, Muriel Comeau, Theresa Roy, Midas Roy, Larry Roy, Noel Roy and Rita Turco.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday October 17, 2025 at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
