Victor J. Blair

Victor J. Blair, 95, of Berlin, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin after a period of failing health. He was born in Berlin, NH the son of the late Joseph and Ida (Guerin) Blair. Early in life he worked various jobs before enlisting in the United States Air Force. After his discharge from the service, he worked many years for Brown Company and James River Corp in the Instrument Department working his way up to boss of his crew. Following his retirement from the mill, he went to work for Pete's Autobody for several years. Always needing something to do, following his auto body work, he spent time with his grandson detailing vehicles in his back yard. He always enjoyed spending time working with cars. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and gathering together. 

Family includes his children Donald Blair and wife Jacqueline of Whitefield, NH; Shirley Gagne and husband Steve of Concord, NH; Nancy Neil and husband Bruce of Gorham, NH and Susan Perry and husband Roger of Berwick, ME; grandchildren Craig, Carla, Eric, Brian, Joshua, Jordan, Carl and Justin; several great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; his sister Dot Nadeau of Berlin, who took care of Victor after the death of his wife; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Rita P. (Dumoulin) Blair in 2019, a brother Roland Blair and sister Delia Turgeon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday June 21, 2024 at 1pm at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish with interment to follow in the Mt Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Friday June, 21 from 10:30am to 12:30pm, prior to the Mass.
