Starts at 10:00 am (Eastern time)
Timothy J. Marcou, 69, of Gorham, NH, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. His passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Born in Berlin, NH, on December 22, 1956, he was the son of the late Gerald P. and Elsie M. (Dalphonse) Marcou. A lifelong resident of the area, Timmy graduated from Gorham High School with the Class of 1974. He spent much of his working life as a pipe fitter at the local paper mill before going on to work as a master plumber for Gosselin's Plumbing and Heating for 20 years.
Timmy found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He shared a special bond with his dog, Leo, and treasured time spent at his camp tucked away in the woods of Dummer. He loved fishing in the spring, eagerly anticipated hunting season each fall, and especially enjoyed when friends stopped by the camp to visit, share stories, and play a game of cards.
He is survived by his two daughters, Alexis (Marcou) Essig and her husband, Samuel, of Gorham, NH, and Sarah Marcou and her husband, Lian Sacaquini, of Jacksonville, FL; and his five grandchildren, Nicolas, Cooper, Sienna, Juliet, and Charlotte. He is also survived by Suzanne Marcou, with whom he shared a lifelong connection and special bond for more than five decades.
Additional family members include his sister, Suzanne D'Ercole and her husband, Donald, of Brunswick, GA; his brother, Gerald P. Marcou and his wife, Gail, of Gorham, NH; his aunt, Peggy (Marcou) Dalphonse of Gorham, NH; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Bryant Funeral Home in Berlin, NH. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Timmy’s memory may be made to the New Hampshire Wildlife Federation, in honor of his love for hunting, fishing and the great outdoors.
A celebration of Timmy's life will also be held next summer at his camp in Dummer. It will be a time to gather and remember Timmy's simple approach to life: enjoy today and don't worry about tomorrow. Additional details will be shared at a later date.
