Theresa O. Phaneuf

Theresa O. Phaneuf, 94, of Berlin, NH, passed away on Thursday June 8, 2023 at the Coos County Nursing Home. She was born in Berlin on August 10, 1928 the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Belanger) Letarte and attended St. Regis School. She married Henry Phaneuf and they lived in Bridgeport, CT for 28 years. While in Bridgeport, she worked at Columbus School cafeteria and also worked at Ware Knitters in Berlin. Theresa was a member of Good Shepherd Parish. She loved playing cards and playing BINGO and enjoyed traveling to places such as Hawaii and Florida.

Family includes her daughter Rachel Kiernan of Gorham, NH; son Michael Phaneuf of Kingston, PA; grandson Thomas Kiernan and wife Karen of Long Island, NY and great granddaughter Ava Kiernan; siblings Laurier Letarte of Gorham, NH and Doris Lefebvre and husband Joe of Berlin, NH. She was predeceased by her husband Henry Phaneuf, her son Robert Phaneuf and siblings John, Donat, Oscar, Wilfred, Maurice, William, Alfred, Robert as well as Simone St. Onge and Juliette St. Onge.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 1pm at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Coos County Nursing Home Activities Fund, PO Box 406, Berlin, NH 03570.
