Stella P. Moreau, 76, of Hooksett, NH, passed away at her home on May 14, 2026.
She was born in Berlin, NH, on December 8, 1949, the daughter of Clarence J. and Doris Y. Moreau. Stella graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1967 and had been a resident of Hooksett since 1971.
Stella dedicated many years of service to Public Service Company of New Hampshire (PSNH), where she worked until her retirement. Following her retirement from PSNH, she continued her career with Chase Paymentech, from which she later retired as a computer operator.
Stella was an exceptionally talented cross-stitch artist whose work reflected extraordinary patience, precision, and attention to detail. She spent countless hours creating intricate and beautifully detailed pieces. Her craftsmanship transformed simple thread and fabric into lasting works of art. Many of her treasured creations were displayed in handcrafted wooden frames made by her brother, Roger, combining their talents and creating keepsakes that will be cherished by family for years to come. Cross-stitching remained one of her greatest passions throughout her life.
Stella also had a lifelong love of cats and opened her heart to many feline companions over the years. Lucky, Frankie, Freddie, Larry, and most recently Lily, brought her immense joy and companionship. Lily remained a constant source of comfort and friendship during Stella's later years.
Stella is survived by her niece and goddaughter, Cindy Valliere, and her husband, Scott, of Berlin; her nephew, Ryan Gagnon, and his wife, Crystal; her sister-in-law, Jan Moreau and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Roger Moreau, in January 2026.
Per Stella's request, there will be no services. Interment will be held at St. Anne Cemetery.
Stella will be remembered for her quiet nature, strong work ethic, artistic talent, unwavering love for animals, and the many beautiful memories she leaves behind.
Arrangements are entrusted to Bryant Funeral Home. An online guestbook is available at bryantfuneralhome.net
