Shirley M. Gilbert

Shirley M. Gilbert, 70, of Gorham, NH passed away on Monday October 5, 2015 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital. She was born in Berlin on January 16, 1945 the daughter of the late Philip and Emily (Germaine) Guilmette and resided in Gorham for most of her life. She graduated from Gorham High School and enjoyed traveling, canoeing, knitting and cooking. Family includes her husband Frederick R. Gilbert of Gorham, NH; son Frederick S. Gilbert and wife Jennifer of Gorham, NH; brother Roger Guilmette and wife Lucille of Gorham, NH; sister Susan Garinger of Holton, ME; grandchildren Christopher, Makenzie, Katelyn and Evan; daughter-in-law Jill Foote-Gilbert; sister-in-law Louise Tyler as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Christian Gilbert, a brother Jimmy Tyler and step-father James Tyler. Per Shirleys request, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of ones choice. The Bryant Funeral Home in Gorham is in charge of the arrangements.
