BERLIN------ Shirley S. Chorette 91, passed away on Friday, June 12th, 2026 at the Coos County Nursing Home. Shirley was born on April 28th, 1935 in Ashland, Maine.

Shirley spent her childhood in Maine and moved to Connecticut after her husband’s discharge from the service. Both Frederick and Shirley moved to Dummer in 1976. She owned and operated Bayview Variety in Dummer for many years. She was known for her homemade bread and beans. She enjoyed listening to Elvis and Johnny Cash, and loved to play Skip-o and Wheel of Fortune.

Shirley is survived by her children; Gailen Chorette and his wife Cynthia of Berlin, Denise Rummel and her husband Robert of Pennsylvania, Lisa Beaudoin and her husband John of Dummer brothers; Samuel Bushey, Paul Bushey, Gary Bushey, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick Chorette, brothers Rene Bushey and Richard Bushey, and sisters, Irene Therriault, and Jeannette Levesque.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 7th, 2026 at 10 am at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Berlin.
