Ruth Ledger

Ruth M. Ledger passed away Sunday morning December 30, 2012 at St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Home. Mrs. Ledger was born in Berlin the daughter of Neil and Estella (Beach)Quimby. Ruth was a lifelong resident of the Berlin - Gorham area. She had attended St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish and St. Paul Lutheran Church and was a member of the Androscoggin Valley Country Club, she was an avid golfer, enjoyed knitting and for a time she worked with the Nuns under Father Griffin at St. Patrick School. She is survived by a daughter Marylee Clement and husband Bob of Ossipee, NH and a son Wayne Ledger and wife Mary Ellen of The Villages, FL; 5 grandchildren; 8 great- grandchildren; a sister-in-law Olive Quimby of Berlin, NH; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Gerald J. Ledger in 2001. A Celebration of her Life will be held at the St. Vincent de Paul Rehab and Healthcare Center in Berlin on Friday June 7, at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in the New City Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to the Food Pantry, 612 Hillsboro St., Berlin, NH, 03570. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bryant Funeral Home.
