Robert J. Rancourt

Robert J. Rancourt,100, of Gorham, passed away on June 14, 2026 at the Jack Bryne Center in Lebanon. Bob was born in Berlin, NH on May 31, 1926 to Adelard and Pauline (Lepage) Rancourt. He graduated from the Guardian Angel Parish School in 1940 and then from the Berlin High School in 1944. He served 18 Months in the Army Air Corps.

In 1947, he married Yolande Fisette at the St. Benedict Catholic Church in Cascade. Bob and Yolande moved to Connecticut in 1949 where they made their home for the next 40 years. While in Connecticut, he graduated from the Connecticut State Technical School and attended Hillyer College in Hartford, Connecticut. He worked at the Pratt and Whittney Aircraft Company in East Hartford as a manufacturing engineer.

He traveled extensively with his wife, visiting all of the lower 48 states, Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, and Mexico. Besides being an avid card player, his love for flying led him to training and qualifying for his private pilot’s license. In 1987, Bob and Yolande returned to Gorham, New Hampshire to enjoy their retirement. He enjoyed his 100th birthday party on May 30th and appreciated the family and friends who attended.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 10 am at the Bryant Funeral Home,180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH, with calling hours from 9 to 10 am prior to the service. Interment will follow in St. Kieran Cemetery, Berlin.
