Robert G. Shorey

Robert G. Shorey, 83, of Coos Street, Berlin, NH passed away on October 18, 2012 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. He was born in Berlin on January 31, 1929 the son of George and Helen (McGee) Shorey and was a lifelong resident. Robert graduated from Berlin High School and served with the US Army during the Korean War. He had been employed as a security guard for Brown Company and retired from James River Corp. Robert was a member of the Berlin Legion and St. Kieran Church. He was known as a joker, was an avid reader and loved to take rides to admire the autumn colors. Members of the family include his stepchildren Rachel Waldruff and husband Ronald of Dover, DE, Carl Lacroix and wife Suzanne of Milan, NH, Lucy Croteau and husband David of Milan, NH and Agnes Adams and husband Richard of Waterford, VT; caregiver Deanne Welsh of Gorham, NH. He was predeceased by his wife Anna Rita (Lafrance) Shorey and a sister Gladys Shorey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday October 22, 2012 at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
