Richard L. Ouellette

Richard L. “Pete” Ouellette, 93, of Berlin, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital, after a period of declining health. He was born in Berlin on December 22, 1932 the son of Alcide and Aurore (Marois) Ouellette and was a lifelong resident He served with the National Guard and had been employed by Brown Company and James River until retiring as Chief Operator in the bleachery. He also worked for Brideau Building Supply and White Mountain Lumber. Pete enjoyed the outdoors including snowmobiling, boating and fishing and spent time at Success Pond and Umbagog Lake. He especially loved hunting rabbits and partridge. His true passion was white tail deer hunting and telling hunting stories. He was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan.

Family includes his wife Lorraine (Marchand) Ouellette of Berlin, NH; sons Richard and his wife Laura (Hulse) of Dummer, NH and Carl and his wife Karen (Poirier) of Cambridge, NH; grandsons Nathan and Nic Ouellette; nieces and a special nephew, Laurier (Larry) and his wife Debbie. He was predeceased by his parents and his two brothers, Robert and his wife Estelle, Benoit, and a sister-in-law Lucille Rousseau and husband Normand.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday April 28, 2026 at 1 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin. Visitation will be from 11-1, prior to the service. Interment will follow in St. Anne Cemetery.
