Richard “Dodo” Lacroix, 87, of Berlin, passed away on April 8, 2025. He was born in Berlin on October 16, 1937, the son of Albert and Annette (Richards) Lacroix. Dodo was educated in local schools, graduating from Notre Dame High School in 1956. He attended Bentley College and was employed as the shipping superintendent for Crown Vantage, retiring in 1998. Dodo was a member of St. Anne Church, Disabled American Veterans, the Androscoggin Valley Country Club, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He played for the Berlin Maroons and the Berlin softball league, in addition to being an avid golfer.
Family includes his daughter, Gail MacArthur-Nolin and husband Greg of Berlin; daughter-in-law Colleen MacArthur of Berlin; his sister Priscilla Green and husband Bill of Maine and Florida; and grandchildren Ryan Nolin and wife Jessica, Missy L’Heureux and husband Travis, Matthew MacArthur and wife Tabby, and Andrew MacArthur and wife Kayla; and 8 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Aline (Bisson) Lacroix, and his son Steven MacArthur.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 1 PM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, prior to the mass. Those who wish may make donations in Dodo’s memory to the Androscoggin Valley Country Club, 2 Main Street, Gorham, NH 03581, or to a charity of one’s choice.
