On November 25, 2009 Dick went to meet his wife, Nancy, after a four month battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Berlin, NH on August 2, 1932, the son of Shirley and Napoleon Carbonneau. He graduated from Berlin High School with the class of 1952. Dick worked as a pipefitter for Brown Company - James River Corportation, retiring in 1993. He was predeceased by his wife Nancy after 50 years of marriage. He leaves two sisters Shirley Foss and her husband Richard from Connecticut and Susan Kleva and husband Steve from Delaware, as well as several nieces and nephews. Dick and Nancy spent their busy lives traveling the country, vacationing in the tropics, trying their luck in Las Vegas, playing cards and dancing with their many friends. His lifetime passion was hunting and fishing and he spent as much time as possible in the woods or on the water. He traveled to Washington state annually for a traditional elk hunt, proving to be quite successful. Dick supplied the neighborhood with fresh veggies grown from his large fruitful garden. SERVICES: A Memorial Service will be held on Monday December 7, 2009 at 11 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday Dec. 7, 2009 from 10 to 11 AM, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations can be made to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, ATTN: Lory Grimes, 1080 Hospital Drive, St. Johnsbury, VT 05819 in memory of Richard Carbonneau. Proceeds will go towards a beautiful painted mural in the infusion room.
