Richard G. Delisle, 91, of Berlin, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. He was born in Berlin on July 1, 1935, the son of the late Joseph and Pauline (Buteau) Delisle, and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a graduate of Notre Dame High School with the Class of 1953. Richard was employed by the local paper mill for 45 years, retiring from Crown Vantage at the age of 62. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and Good Shepherd Parish.

He cherished his family includes his children, Patricia Couture and husband Russell of Berlin, and Anthony Delisle and wife Anne of Berlin; granddaughter Krystal Couture and husband Piotrek Kowalcyzk of Stratham, NH; sister-in-law Jeannie Baldassara of Berlin; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 70 years, Tina (Baldassara) Delisle, who passed July 4, 2026, and by his brother Robert Delisle, sister-in-law Rachel Delisle, brother-in-law Dominic Baldassara, and sister-in-law, Jennie Baldassara.

Richard was spirited and enjoyed life. He believed in taking life one day at a time and reminded us to be present in the moment. He spent countless hours taking Patty and Tony fishing, and just as many delighting in the meals that followed. Richard was always keen for a vacation, on the lake or by the ocean. Some of his favorite places were Rangeley Lake and York Beach, Maine and, of course, Myrtle Beach. He loved jumping waves at the ocean. Every weekend in his younger days, he and Tina would go out dancing, a love he later passed down by sharing dance with Krystal. He could often be found playing his accordion on the porch or listening to music, a love he shared with Piotrek. He enjoyed catching up with his many friends at the Eagles, the Pub, or at Dunkin' Donuts.

Above all, Richard loved his wife Tina more than anything in this world. She was his whole world, and their love carried through every part of his life.
