Richard A. Bouchard, 96, of Berlin, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Sunday, December 7, 2025. Born in Berlin, NH on June 13, 1929, Richard was the son of the late Lucien and Bertha (Ramsey) Bouchard and lived in Berlin most of his life. He served in the United States Navy and was employed as a heavy equipment mechanic by the local paper mill at their tractor shop until his retirement, when he went to work for Berlin City Ford as a driver until he was 88 years old. A member of Good Shepherd Parish, the F. O. E. and former member of the American Legion and for many years Richard served on the Credit Committee of Guardian Angel Credit Union. Richard was a huge Red Sox fan and enjoyed playing soft ball with the mill league for many years. Richard was a loving father who was kind to everyone he met and will be missed dearly by his family.
He is survived by his children: Pamela Bouchard of Berlin, Ramona Devlin of Abington Township, PA, Roxanne Dodge of Jackson, NH, Angela Carignan of Hooksett, Bradley Bouchard of Berlin and Marisa Hikel of Buxton, ME; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara Bouchard, a son Steven Bouchard, an infant son Joseph as well as three siblings, Normand, Gloria Poulin and Anita Carpenter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 10am at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant St., Berlin with interment following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, December 11th from 1-3pm and 6-8pm. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital (stjude.org).
