Raymond Weasel Roy was born on January 5, 1957 in Berlin, NH and deceased on June 11, 2014 after a long illness at Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital. Raymond graduated from Berlin High School in 1975 and played hockey for the Berlin Maroons. He then played two successful seasons with the Sherbrooke Beavers of the Quebec Major Junior A hockey League in Canada. He then was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings and played in Kalamozoo, Michigan. He later worked as a mason for many years. Raymond had a joie de vivre, an ever ready smile, a passion for golf and professional sports, and a love for a good conversation. He was pre-deceased by his brother Roger in 1975, his Father Henri-Paul in 1980, and Mother Yvette in 2013. He is survived by his brothers, Michel Roy from St. Romain, Canada, brother Jules Roy from Berlin, NH, sisters, Sylvia Poulin from Greenwood, Maine, and Marian Roy from Cottonwood, Arizona; nephews, Mathieu Roy from Lac Megantic, Canada, Maxime Roy from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Jay Poulin from Berlin, NH and Chad Poulin from Milan NH. Visiting hours are Tuesday evening, June 17th, from 6 to 8 pm at Bryant Funeral Home, Berlin, NH and Funeral Services will be Wednesday, June 18th, at 11 am at Bryant Funeral Home.
