Mr. Philip D. Marquis, 75, of 25 Success Street, Berlin, NH passed away on Friday April 14, 2006 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. He was born in Berlin, NH on May 23, 1930 the son of George E. and Catherine (Brogan) Marquis and had lived in Berlin for most of his life. He was a member of St. Kieran Church, now known as Good Shepherd Parish. Mr. Marquis was a US Navy veteran, a life member of the White Mountain Post #2520 VFW, the Knights of Columbus Council 506 and a member of the Towerwood Funmakers in Lake Wales, Florida. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by James River Corporation in Mid Management. Members of the family include a son Dan Marquis of Owensboro, KY; 2 daughters Sharon Doble of Milan, NH and Sandy Marquis Lea of Berlin, NH; 3 granddaughters Crystal Marquis of Berlin, NH, Sabrina Harwell of Herriman, Utah and Christina Harwell of Huntsville, TX; 2 grandsons Joshua Marquis of Owensboro, KY and Brian Marquis of Owensboro, KY; a great granddaughter Julia Bill of Berlin, NH; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Geraldine (ONeill) Marquis on April 4, 2005. SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday afternoon April 18, 2006 at 2:00 PM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant Street, Berlin, NH. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Berlin. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH on Monday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Anyone who wishes may make a donation to the American Heart Association or to the St. Kieran Guest House in his memory.
