Pauline T. Houle, 89, of Berlin, NH, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at her home, with her husband and daughter by her side. She was born in Berlin on September 3, 1932, the daughter of Jules and Rose (Vaillancourt) Montminy and was a lifelong resident.
Pauline had worked as a stitcher at Converse Shoe and for the American Skate Company. Pauline was a member of St. Anne’s Parish, and she volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Shop for 25 years. Pauline loved playing cards, doing puzzles, and baking whoopie pies.
Family includes her husband of 67 years, Henry Houle, of Berlin; her daughter, Diane Houle Jennings and husband Charles of West Greenwich, RI; grandchildren Matthew Malczewski of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Sarah Malczewski Goldberg and husband Benjamin of Bristol, RI; great-grandchildren Hannah and Jack; and several nieces and nephews. Pauline was predeceased by her brothers, Aime, Ernest, Edward (Pete), and Lucien Montminy, and sisters Beatrice Bertin, Irene Franklin, Lilliane Cyr, Cecile Roy, Jeanette Goudreau, and Doris Montminy.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday May 24, 2022 at 10 AM at Holy Family Church, Gorham, NH. Anyone who wishes may make donations in Pauline’s memory to North Country Home Health and Hospice Agency, 536 Cottage Street, Littleton, NH 03561.
