Paul A. Nault, 77, of Gorham, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, with his family by his side. Paul was born in Berlin, New Hampshire, on April 29, 1949, and graduated from Gorham High School with the Class of 1967. Following graduation, he enlisted in the Army National Guard, where he served for six years as a switchboard operator. A lifelong resident of Gorham, Paul began his career at the paper mill immediately after high school. Over the course of 42½ years, he remained with the company through numerous transitions. He started in the flock plant, later worked in the towel and tissue departments, and eventually became a pipefitter, a position he held for the remainder of his career.
Paul was deeply committed to serving his community. He was a member of the Gorham Fire Department for 37 years, retiring with the rank of Captain. He also served as a director of the Presidential OHRV Club, volunteered with Toys for Kids, worked with the local Chamber of Commerce on community events including RiverFire and Wingzilla, and was a Boy Scout troop leader for several years.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Jackie (Allen) Nault of Gorham; his two sons, Jason Nault and his wife, Katherine, of Issaquah, Washington, and David Nault and his wife, Lauren, of Sandy Hook, Connecticut; his two grandchildren, Elle Nault and Christian Nault, both of Sandy Hook, Connecticut; his brother, Jerry Nault, and his wife, Karen, of Berlin; as well as several cousins. He was predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Lisa Tufo Nault.
Services will be held privately at a later date. Those who wish may make donations in Paul's memory to Northwoods Cancer Survivors, 24½ Wood Street, Berlin, NH 03570. Memories and condolences may be shared online at bryantcares.com
