Mr. Paul N. Pederson, 88, of 90 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH passed away on Friday, December 9, 2005 at his home. He was born in Berlin, NH on July 3, 1917 the son of Otto and Elise (Adreasen) Pederson and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Berlin High School in 1936. He was a US Army Veteran who served in Italy with the 10th Mountain Ski Troops as they pushed through the Po Valley to Mt. Bellvedere. He taught skiing in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a machinist for many years with Cross Machine Shop and also taught skiing in the Berlin area. He was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, a long time member and 3 times Past Master of the Sabatis Lodge F & AM, received the Sullivan Award in the Masons, was a member of the Bektash Shrine, Rotary Club of Berlin and the VFW Post #2520 in Berlin. Members of the family include his wife Catherine (Rozek) Pederson of Berlin, NH; 2 daughters Christine LaClair and her husband Lance of Marlborough, NH and Corrine Lajoie and her husband Ron of Hopkinton, NH; 5 grandchildren Darcy LaClair, Caitlin (LaClair) Barrett, Matthew Lajoie, Marc Lajoie and Benjamin Lajoie; nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at 1:00 PM at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Berlin. Interment will be in the New City Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin on Monday, December 12 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Anyone who wishes may make a donation in his memory to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church or a charity of ones choice in his memory.
