Mr. Paul L. Sanschagrin, 79, of 18 Western Avenue, Gorham, NH passed away on Sunday March 27, 2005 at his home. He was born in Berlin on December 5, 1925 the son of Amedee Pete and Marie Anna (Coulombe) Sanschagrin and was a lifelong resident of the Berlin-Gorham area. He was a graduate of Berlin High School and a US Navy Veteran of World War II. He had been employed by Brown Company and James River Corporation as a Supervisor in the Converting Department at the Cascade Mill and retired in 1987. He was a member of Holy Family Church, the White Mountain Post #2520 VFW and the Ham Radio Club-The White Mountain Bandits. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, stamp collecting and wood working. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Members of the family include his wife of 57 years Pauline M. (Major) Sanschagrin of Gorham;3 sons Peter Sanschagrin and wife Theresa of Easton, PA, Robert Sanschagrin and wife Denise of Berlin, NH and Daniel Sanschagrin of Morgantown, W. VA; 2 daughters Ms. Lucy St. Onge and fianc Kenneth Fitzpatrick of Center Conway, NH and Mrs. Carol Roy, RN and husband Michael of Berlin, NH; 8 grandchildren Paul Sanschagrin and wife Suzanne, Allan Sanschagrin, Ryan St. Onge, Andrea Jacques, Jeffrey Sanschagrin, Brandon Sanschagrin, Tyler Sanschagrin and Carley Roy; a step-grandson Shaun Roy of Dover, NH; 1 great-grandson Gabriel Jacques; 1 sister Jeannette Sanschagrin of Berlin, NH; nieces and nephews including a beloved niece and nephew Joanne and Gordon Lambertson of Gorham, NH and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday March 30, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Church in Gorham, NH. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade Street, Gorham on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 PM and Wednesday morning from 9 AM until the time of the funeral.
