Paul E. Chouinard

Paul E. Chouinard, 72, of Gorham, NH, passed away on December 7, 2022 at his son's home in Colorado Springs, CO following a recent illness. He was born in Berlin, NH on November 14, 1950 the son of the late Eloi and Marie (Villeneuve) Chouinard and graduated Berlin High School Class of 1968. Following graduation he enlisted in the United States Army where he spent 21 years of dedicated service, mostly on various construction projects such as building air fields and bridges. During his career, he was deployed to Vietnam. His career took him around the world, including Massachusetts, Colorado, Alaska, Germany and Vietnam. He retired in 1990 and focused on his family. Paul enjoyed traveling, woodworking, baseball, listening to music, especially Oldies and Country. He traveled to several concerts, including in Alaska and Germany.

He is survived by his children Patrick Chouinard and wife Susan of Minneapolis, MN and Danny Chouinard and wife Lynn of Colorado Springs, CO; his grandchildren: Stephanie, Katherine, Julianna, Cameron, and Valerie; a brother Louis Chouinard of Littleton, NH; extended family, in-laws and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Sandra C. (Deschamps) Chouinard in 2021.

Interment with military honors will take place privately at the convenience of the family at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH. Arrangements are entrusted to the Bryant Funeral Homes, Berlin and Gorham, NH. Memories and condolences may be shared online at
