Mr. Maurice Bugger Laflamme, 68, of 583 Cheshire Street in Berlin, passed away on June 20, 2008 at home surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer. Bugger was born on November 22, 1939 in Berlin, the son of George and Georgia (Howard) Laflamme and lived in Berlin all his life. He met his wife of 48 years, Huguette Cookie Laflamme, on May 3, 1958 and was married on July 23, 1960. He joined the Army National Guard in 1962, completed his basic training at Fort Dix, NJ and was assigned to Fort Sill, OK to serve with the Field Artillery Unit. He served with the National Guard from 1962 to 1976. Bugger worked for Granite State Rubber Co. from 1959 to 1975 and then Brown Co./James River Co. from 1975 to 2001 and retired after 26 years of service. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club #1464 in Berlin since 1992. Bugger enjoyed camping, horseshoes, backyard barbeques, playing cards and spending time with his family and friends sitting in front of the fireplace singing the oldies, playing word games, cracking jokes and sharing stories of days gone-by. Bugger was a member of St. Kieran Church now known as Good Shepherd Parish. Members of his family include his wife Huguette Cookie (Vezina) Laflamme; one son Gary Laflamme; two grandsons Nicholas and Keith Laflamme; one granddaughter Lauren Laflamme; a daughter-in-law Angela Clark and her husband James; three sisters Irene (Laflamme) Savard and her husband Leo Savard of Holiday, FL, Jeannette (Laflamme) Therriault and her husband Joseph Jerry Therriault, and Doris Bee Laflamme of Berlin; two brothers George Bub Laflamme and his wife Ann Marie Demers of Milan and Raymond Pinky Laflamme of Berlin and many, many nieces and nephews. Bugger was predeceased by his parents George and Georgia (Howard) Laflamme; three brothers Richard Sonny Laflamme, Norman Laflamme and Howell Moosie Laflamme; and one sister Florence (Laflamme) Gauthier. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated on Monday June 23, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery in Berlin. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue in Berlin. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the AVH Home Health and Hospice, c/o Androscoggin Valley Hospital, 59 Page Hill Road, Berlin, NH 03570.
