Mary Gilbert

Mary Gilbert, 95, of Berlin, NH passed away on April 25, 2020 at her granddaughter’s house, surrounded by her family. She was born in Berlin, NH on March 9, 1925, the daughter of Nicholas and Annie Lapato. Mary was the wife of the late Ronald Gilbert. She was a lifelong resident of Berlin, and worked for many years as a Pharmacy Tech at the Berlin Drug Store and as a Secretary at CN Brown. Mary enjoyed baking, knitting, gardening and spending time with her family, who loved her immensely.



Mary is survived by two brothers: John Lapato of Westborough, MA, and Nicholas Lapato of Silver Spring, MD; six grandchildren: Asha Singer of Concord, NH, Joti Hahn of Palm Bay, FL, Chanda Zavodny of HI, Cayla Benjamin of Gorham, NH, Caitlyn Jefferson of Whitefield, NH, and Mary Hibbard of Sanbornton, NH; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Ronald Gilbert, and her daughter Diane L. Nolin.
