Madeleine A. (Lavertue) Nadeau, 89, of Berlin, passed away on Sunday March 3, 2024 at the St. Vincent de Paul Rehab and Nursing Center. She was born in Coaticook, PQ, Canada on December 31, 1934, the daughter of Eugene and Blanche (Robillard) Lavertue and has lived in Berlin since 1962. She was a full-time wife and mother. She later enjoyed providing childcare and spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing the accordion, knitting, crocheting, and doing word searches. She also had a love for animals, especially her cats.

Family includes her children: Colette (Raymond) Frenette of Silver Lake, NH; Denis Nadeau of Berlin, NH; Luc (Brenda) Nadeau of Berlin, NH; and Carole (Philip) Chabot of Berlin, NH; 6 grandchildren: Timothy Chabot, Danielle (Chabot) Tamblyn, Lindsay Frenette, Justin Frenette, William Chabot, and Felicia Nadeau; 7 great grandchildren: Makayla, Jada, Ethan, Ivan, Hunter, Wyatt, and Jensen; 2 great-great grandchildren, Amory and Axten; Brothers in Law, Leo Goupil and Alfred Nadeau of Coaticook, Canada; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Josaphat Nadeau in 2020; her parents; two brothers and 1 sister; as well as several in-laws on her husband’s side.
