Mrs. Lucy Ruth (Robinson) Young, 87 of Manchester, NH, passed away on October 28, 2026 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH after a period of failing health. She was born in Berlin, NH on February 3,1939 the daughter of the late Linwood and Elsie (Lorry) Robinson.

She graduated from Berlin High School and lived in Milan. She was married to Kenneth Young on September 21, 1957. They lived in the Dummer-Milan area until 1965, when they moved to Manchester. She worked in the Manchester School District Food Service Department at Beech Street Elementary School for over 20 years until her retirement.

Mrs. Young liked to knit hats and mittens for her family. She also liked gardening, listening to country music, watching the Red Sox and reading.

Her family was very important to her and she loved spending time with them.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Earl Robinson, Lucien Robinson, Royden Robinson, Herman Robinson, Ernest Robinson and Merle Robinson, and her sisters Flora Day and Isabelle Bilodeau. She is survived by her sister Shirley Leeman, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family includes her daughter Darlene Chevrette and husband Brian of Manchester, NH; Son Jason Young of Manchester; NH: Grandchildren Dylan and Austin. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Earl Young in 2007.

A Funeral Service will be held on November 5, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Word of God Christian Church, 11 Hill Road, Dummer, NH followed by interment at the Willis Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on November 5, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH.
