Lucille M. Boucher

May 24, 1929 — March 19, 2021

Lucille M. Boucher, 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 19, 2021 at her daughter’s home in Peterborough, NH in the loving presence of her family after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

Lucille was born in Berlin, NH on May 24, 1929, the daughter of the late Louis E. and Louise (Plourde) Lambert and lived in Berlin most of her life. She graduated from Notre Dame High School, Class of 1947. Influenced by a strong Catholic faith and an extensive family background of priests and nuns, Lucille entered religious life after high school and became a novitiate at the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary Convent in Hudson, NH. She decided after much prayer and consideration that this was not her calling and returned to Berlin where she worked at Granite State Rubber Co. for several years until she married Raoul Boucher in May of 1956. Together they raised a son and three daughters.

Lucille’s greatest loves were her family and being a homemaker. Over the years she was also involved in many local community activities. She was devoted to serving on various church committees through the Ladies of Saint Anne’s Parish and the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW. During her healthy years, she enjoyed tour group travel with her husband and friends as well as visiting her children in NH, Texas and Wyoming. She

was an avid RV camper for 10 years at Roger’s Campground in Lancaster. She greatly enjoyed square dancing with the Paper Town Pacers for many years. Lucille was an accomplished seamstress. Other hobbies included snowmobiling, reading and doing word puzzles. She was a very competitive board game and card player.

Lucille is survived by her husband of over 64 years, Raoul Boucher of Whitefield, NH; a son, David Boucher (Barbara) of Berlin, NH; two daughters, Madelyn Morris (Nicholas) of Peterborough, NH and Ann-Marie Masessa (Gary) of Derry, NH; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Bolia (Bill) of Laconia, NH. Lucille is preceded in death by her daughter, Bernadette DeSalvo.

A private funeral service will be live streamed on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 1pm. Interment will take place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Berlin, NH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to either Hospice at HCS, 9 Vose Farm Rd. Suite 110, Box 8, Peterborough, NH 03458 or the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are entrusted to Bryant & Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, Berlin, NH. Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.bryantfuneralhome.net.
