Lucille A. Morneau, 92, died peacefully on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Avita of Stroudwater, in Westbrook, Maine, where she had resided since August 2025. Lucille was a lifelong resident of Berlin, NH, until 2021 when she moved to Stroudwater Lodge Assisted Living in Westbrook, Maine with her sister, Pauline, and brother-in-law, Hubert Bouchard.

The daughter of Dorilda (Pelletier) and Joseph Morneau, Lulu (as she was known by family and friends) was born on December 14, 1933. She was the youngest of the twelve Morneaus and the last surviving sibling.

A graduate of Notre Dame High School, she was a lifelong member of St. Joseph/Good Shepherd Parishes. Her entire working career was at Public Service Company of New Hampshire, where she was a loyal employee who developed many close and long-standing friendships with co-workers.

Summers at the family camp in Maine were special for Lulu, since she could do some of the things she loved—swimming, taking long walks, and hopping into the rowboat for a long row across the lake. In her younger years, she also enjoyed cross-country skiing and cycling. She had fond memories of travels both in this country and abroad.

She treasured time spent with her brothers and sisters, and she cared deeply about her nieces and nephews and their children, enjoying the celebration of graduations, weddings, and the arrivals of new members of the extended Morneau family.

Members of her family include two of her nieces, Ann and Amy Bouchard, who provided care and support for her during her period of declining health. Lulu also leaves behind a legacy of many other nieces and nephews and their families.

Lulu was predeceased by her sisters, Therese Morneau, Cecile Parent, Jeannette Pinette, Pauline Bouchard, and by her brothers Armand, Roland, Albert, Rene, Philip, Edgar (Charlie), and Robert (Bob).

The family wishes to thank the staff at Compassus Hospice and Avita of Stroudwater for their compassionate care.

There will be no public visiting hours. A graveside service and interment will be held at St. Anne’s Cemetery in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Lulu’s memory to Berlin & Coos County Historical Society, PO Box 52, Berlin, NH 03570.

Arrangements are in the care of Bryant Funeral Homes. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family online at www.bryantfuneralhome.net.
