Louise S. (Gale) Keene

Mrs. Louise S. (Gale) Keene, 88, a resident of St. Vincent de Paul Healthcare Center in Berlin, passed away on Tuesday March 3, 2009. She was born in Berlin, NH on January 9, 1921 the daughter of George E. and Rena M. (Stone) Gale and lived in the Berlin-Gorham area most of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a former member of the Methodist Church. She volunteered at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital and the White Mountain Community College Nursery in Berlin. Members of the family include 3 daughters Gail Keene of Berlin, NH, Lyla ONeil of Gorham, NH and Laurie Carrier of Berlin, NH; 1 son Russell Keene of Berlin, NH; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Lewis E. Keene in 1996. Private Funeral Services will be held at the Bryant Funeral Home in Berlin, NH. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in the Russian City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to AVH Home Health and Hospice, 59 Page Hill Rd., Berlin, NH, 03570 in her memory.
