Louise L. (Lettre) Adam, 84, of Berlin, passed away at Coos County Nursing Home on Monday March 2, 2020. She was born in Berlin, NH on March 7, 1935 to Arthur and Alice (Fortier) Lettre. She was raised in Berlin, NH, graduated from Notre Dame High School, and went on to receive her RN from St. Louis Hospital Nursing School.
Louise married Arthur Adam on June 18, 1960 at St. Anne Catholic Church. Together they raised three children. She worked as a nurse at Androscoggin Valley Hospital for many years before working at Coos County Nursing Home until her retirement in 1996. Arthur and Louise spent their retirement traveling all over North America in their camper. She enjoyed spending time at camp and traveling with the camper. She was a talented baker and knitter, enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. Louise was a devoted Catholic and enjoyed attending mass.
Louise is predeceased by her parents and her husband Arthur Adam. She is survived by a son Andrew Adam and his wife Heidi of Hollis, ME, two daughters, Ann Marie Cassel and her husband Brian of Pittsfield, NH, and Lisa Adam and her husband John Dizio of Palm, PA, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and close friends.
Friends and family are invited to meet at St. Anne of Good Shepherd Parish where Fr. Kyle Stanton will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday March 6, 2020 at 10AM. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Berlin. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Louise may be made to Coos County Nursing Home, Activities Fund, PO Box 416, Berlin, NH 03570
