Linda D. Chaisson, 77, passed away on April 27, 2025 after complications from diabetes and heart disease. Born in Berlin, NH on May 6, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Charles S. Ordway, Jr. and Doreen M. (Taylor) Ordway. She was also pre-deceased by infant son Jeffrey Letellier.
Linda was a lifelong resident of Berlin and a member of the 1965 Class of Berlin High School. Prior to her retirement, Linda was a very dedicated nurse for over fourty years. She served patients at St. Luke’s Medical Center, Coos County Family Health Services and finally AVH as an office nurse in the ENT department, a position she enjoyed very much. She treated every patient with respect and dignity like they were own family.
Before contracting diabetes at age eighteen, Linda became a very accomplished water skier. She, however, never let that disease from becoming a burden of being an adventurous lady. She was a very proficient alpine skier, an avid kayaker, driving the family sports car and what she considered one of her greatest accomplishments, driving her own Harley Davison motorcycle for over 25 years. She loved dancing and music, especially the bands Queen and AC/DC. She loved to laugh – her sense of humor was one of the greatest attributes. Linda was also an animal lover, having many cats and dogs. One of her great joys for over 30 years was rescuing and raising three Olde English Sheepdogs whose companionship made her smile every day.
Her pride & most joy however was her family. She was a great mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved her family very much without question. Linda had also many friends, some of them lifelong and also loved them like members of her own family.
She is survived by her best friend and husband of 34 years Ronn Chaisson; daughter Lori Lacasse and fiancé Craig Hood of Dummer, daughter Jennifer Letellier and fiancé Dan Giroux of W. Milan; sister Cheryl Lamoureux of Mankato, Minnesota; sister-in-law Patricia Winzeler and husband John of Sandwich, Mass; Grandchildren Stacie Lacasse, Shawn Lacasse and partner Erin Clarke, Stefanie Lacasse and fiancé Aaron Labonville, Jakob Giroux and Zackary Giroux; Great grandchildren Liberty Paradis, Garret and Carson Labonville and Whitleigh Lacasse; many nieces and nephews to include Kristi Krengel, Doug Lamoureux, Abby Sapochetti and Katrina Winzeler. Last but not least her lifelong friends Dedee Aube, Linda Burlock and Shawn Costello and many more friends who are too numerous to mention and of course her constant companion and bundle of joy her sheepdog Abella.
Per Linda’s request there will be no calling hours or services. Interment will be in the Hillside City Cemetery at a private ceremony. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Rest in peace Linda as you surely earned it. You will always be deeply missed and forever loved by your husband, your family and friends. In remembrance donations can be made to the AVH Auxiliary, the New England Olde English Sheepdog Rescue League or the Nansen Ski Club
