Mr. L. George Buteau, 59, of 242 Grafton Street, Berlin, NH passed away on Monday February 20, 2006 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. He was born in Berlin, NH on July 20, 1946 the son of Gerard and Lillian (LaFeuille) Buteau and was a lifelong resident. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, his friends at hunting camp and very much enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a US Army Veteran. He had been employed by Fraser Papers as a First Class Millwright and had been employed by local paper mill since September 1969. He was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, the White Mountain Post #2520 VFW, the Dupont-Holmes Post # 82 American Legion and the Knights of Columbus Council 506 3rd and 4th Degree. Members of the family include his wife Kathleen (Tupick) Buteau of Berlin, NH; 1 son Scott Buteau of Concord, NH; 1 daughter Michelle Morin and husband Anthony of Berlin, NH; 3 grandchildren Kyle Morin, Mariah Morin and Hunter Buteau; 4 brothers Leo Buteau, Robert Buteau, Emile Buteau and Richard Buteau all of Berlin, NH; 3 sisters Annette Bisson, Diane Laflamme and Lucille Tremblay all of Berlin, NH; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by a sister Louise Provencher and his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday February 23 2006 at 11:00 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the Russian City Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Wednesday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of ones choice.
