Leonard M. "Lenny" Gallagher

Leonard M. “Lenny” Gallagher, 72, of Berlin, NH, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at his home. He was born in Berlin on May 1, 1953, the son of the late Edmund and Mildred (Judson) Gallagher, and was a lifelong resident of the Berlin-Milan area. Lenny was employed by James River Corporation for 20 years and later worked in construction for the Union Local 668. In his retirement, he was often seen around town in his trusty gray pickup truck taking care of his jobs: mowing, painting, shoveling, and taking care of family and friends in his community. He was a member of the American Legion Post #36 in Berlin and was a big Boston sports fan. As friends of Lenny would know, his mood often depended on whether his team was winning or losing! He was a sportsman himself, playing softball in local leagues for many years.

Family includes his brother Andrew Gallagher of Onsett, MA, and his sister Martha Holt of Milan, NH; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Edmund Gallagher, Jr., and his sister Frances Wiswell.

Per Lenny’s request, there will be no services. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Milan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Lenny's Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 3-5 PM at the VFW Post 2520, 1107 Main Street, Berlin, NH.
