Mr. Leo E. Coulombe, 77, of 41 Ramsey Street in Berlin passed away after a short illness on Tuesday afternoon, May 27, 2008 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. He was born in Berlin, NH on July 15, 1930 the son of Alcide and Alphonsine (Couture) Coulombe and was a lifelong resident of the area. Mr. Coulombe served in the National Guard for nine years and was employed by James River for 41 years. Prior to his retirement he worked as a crane operator. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, canoe racing, archery, billiards, snowshoeing and many other outdoor activities. Members of his family include his wife Jeannine (Grenier) Coulombe of Berlin; three daughters Carol Lacasse and her husband Joe of Clarksville, NH, Donna Donaldson and her husband Leo of Berlin, and Rachel Fillion and her husband Gerard of Berlin; four sons Steven Coulombe and his companion Georgia Fortin of Gorham, Ronald Coulombe and his wife Lorraine of Gorham, Dan Coulombe of Berlin and Gary Coulombe and his companion Laura Jamison of Berlin, NH; nine grandchildren Heather Lizzie, Crystal Godin, Stefanie Coulombe, Jacob Donaldson, Zack Donaldson, Justin Fillion, Shelby Fillion, Tyler Coulombe and Mallory Coulombe; one step grandson Robert Roy III; one brother Henry Coulombe of Brooksville, FL; two sisters Priscille Boucher and her husband Leon of Berlin and Lucille St.Arnaud and her husband Armand of Repentigny, Quebec; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and several of his in-laws. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated on Friday May 30, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish on Pleasant Street in Berlin. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Berlin. At his request there will be no calling hours. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the charity of ones choice.
