Kenneth W. Dickinson, of Berlin, passed with his son by his side on March 13, 2020 at the age of 90. He was born in Berlin, NH on October 29, 1929, the son of Frederick and Dorina (Albert) Dickinson. He retired from Brown Company/James River Corporation in January 1992 after 44 years of service. He graduated from Berlin High School in 1947 and served in the Army during the Korean War. Ken began running long distance races in his 50's and completed 8 marathons, including Boston and the Maine Coast Marathon, as well as several other local races. After retirement he learned to golf and was a member of the Androscoggin Country Club. Other hobbies included being a former baseball and softball player, fishing, cross country skiing, vacationing in the tropics and Mexico. He was an avid and devoted Red Sox and Patriots fan.



He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Joyce Wheeler Dickinson and brothers Frances and Ralph Dickinson. He leaves behind son, Kevin Dickinson of Easton, New Hampshire, stepdaughters Heather Stiles of Home Valley, Washington state and Debbie Keating of Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada, their spouses and two grandchildren, Grant and Melissa.



At Ken's request, there will be no calling hours or services. The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.



His family would like to sincerely thank all second floor employees, the activity staff, and doctors at St. Vincent for their love and compassion. He truly thought the world of each and every one of you. You made him smile.
