Kenneth R. Whitehouse

May 13, 1959 — July 27, 2023

Kenneth R. Whitehouse, 64, of Gorham, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon. He was born in Berlin, NH on May 13, 1959 the son of the late Clifford and Marjorie (Whiting) Whitehouse. Kenneth resided in Gorham for most of his life and had also resided for a time in Florida, Vermont, and North Carolina. Kenneth was the sole proprietor of KRW Dirt Work Construction, Co. prior to that worked for Asplundh, Taillon Crane Service, Thomas Mckelvey Trucking, and Couture Construction. He also given many dedicated years to Gorham Public Works for snow removal and also installed the Peak FM Tower on Mt. Washington. Kenneth was an avid fisherman and hunter. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and snowmobiles, mechanic work, gardening and landscaping.

Kenneth was known as a hardworking man that was multi-talented in every endeavor, project he undertook. He was also a very outgoing and gregarious person in his younger years, and would often be described as the life of the party, or even the party himself. There truly wasn't any reason not to start up a raucous party for him, and his friends, which are many far and wide.

Many remembered “BUCKIE” as a “wild man”, however his immediate family knew him as a dedicated hard worker who provided for them. He accomplished his lifetime dream of building a home on a piece of land, and building his dream garage where he was able to start remodeling his 69 Chevelle. Automotive restoration was a passion of his, especially muscle cars and “big trucks”. Ken was known as the Jack of all trades, he carried a CB Handle of “BAD DOG” while working construction for most of his life, as a highly knowledgeable and talented heavy machinery operator. He operated many pieces of equipment from Cranes, fork lift, dump truck, 18 wheelers, bulldozers and anything with clutches and levers. He will truly leave a void in this world.

Family includes his wife Sue (Tremblay) Whitehouse of Gorham; his daughter Angel King and husband Richard King Jr of Gorham; grandson Gage King of Gorham; siblings Robert Whitehouse of Berlin, Fawn Charron of Gorham, Grace Whitehouse of VT, and Leanne Lozefski of VT; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, and brothers Verne Whitehouse and Lyle Whitehouse.
