Karen L Berube

Karen L. Berube, 60, of Berlin, passed away on Sunday April 5, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Berlin on January 20, 1966, the daughter of William N. and Carolyn M. (Rasmussen) Riff and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Berlin High School in 1984 and from the NH Vocational Technical College in 1987 with a degree in Nursing. She had been employed at the Coos County Nursing Home for her entire nursing career, which spanned 40 years. Karen was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and enjoyed snowmobiling, being at the ocean, antiquing and decorating. Head on for nearly 13 years she fought a courageous and extraordinary battle with cancer. She was very involved with cancer fund raising especially with the Dartmouth Prouty Annual Fundraiser for the Norris Cotton Cancer Center.

Family includes her husband Scott M. Berube of Berlin, NH; her father William N. Riff of Berlin, NH; her siblings Michael Riff and husband Mark Burns of Ipswich, MA and Amy Campisano and husband Michael of Bristol, CT. Nieces and nephew include; Angela Shipman and Husband Joshua, Angela’s son, Isaiah 9 years old of Williamsburg, VA; Cameron Berube and Wife Alena, their kids, Oliver 7 years old and Margaux 5 years old of East Montpelier, VT; Emily Thiel and husband Christopher, their sons Wilder 4 years old and Henric 2 ½ years old of Magnolia, DE; Robin Berube and Wife Alendra, and their dog Peach of Broomfield, Co. Delaney Campisano and fiancée Logan Laprise and their dog Maeve of Collinsville, CT and Nicola Campisano of Bristol, CT; brother-in-law Randall Berube and partner Laurie Legere of Berlin, NH; aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her mother, Carolyn Riff.

The family suggests donations be made in Karen’s Memory to The Friends of Dartmouth Prouty or Weeks Medical Center Oncology.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 14th,2026 at 11am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 101 Norway St., Berlin. Interment will be in the Russian City Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Monday, April 13th, 2026 from 5 to 8pm .
