Isabelle L. Arsenault, of Berlin, passed away on Friday evening, May 2, 2025, at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital, after a debilitating injury received from a bad fall at her home on March 5th. She was 92.
Born in Berlin NH on March 20, 1933, she was the daughter of Phillip and Rose (Nadeau) Bergeron, both of Berlin.
Isabelle attended the Guardian Angel School and the Our Lady of the Mountains Academy in Gorham. She worked in the Towel Room of the Brown Company from 1951-1955, prior to her marriage. Isabelle was active in the community, volunteering for many years in the St. Joseph Parish, working in the church and also participating in fundraising projects for St. Joseph School, St. Patrick’s School, and the Guardian Angel School. She also volunteered regularly and for many years at the St. Vincent de Paul/Guardian Angel Thrift Store in Berlin. She was a devout Catholic, a parishioner of St. Joseph Church and of the Good Shepherd Parish. She was also a member of the Living Rosary of the Shrine of Our Lady of Grace in Colebrook. She loved gardening, making puzzles, and helping wherever she could.
Isabelle is survived by her six children; Lena and her husband Dennis Robert of Nashua, Robert and his wife Pauline of Berlin, Irene and her husband Wes Kelso of Las Vegas, Nevada, Leo and his wife Laurie of Berlin, David and his wife Jane of Randolph, and Marc of Berlin. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, five great-granddaughters, one sister, Theresa Saucier of Berlin, two sisters-in-law, Therese Bergeron of Berlin, Irene Bergeron of St. Augustine, Florida, and by many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, George R. Arsenault, also by her three brothers, Raymond and Oscar Bergeron of Berlin, Roland Bergeron of St. Augustine Florida, by two sisters, Lea Price of Merrimack, Laura Glinka of West Stewartstown, and by her parents, Phillip and Rose Bergeron of Berlin.
Services: Visiting hours will be from 11:00am to 12:30pm on Tuesday, May 6th, at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave, Berlin, NH.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday May 6th at 1:00pm at the St. Anne Church on Pleasant Street in Berlin.
Interment prayers and burial will follow at the St. Anne cemetery.
