Howard F. Murphy

Howard F. Murphy, 82, of Shelburne, NH, passed away on Tuesday October 3, 2023 at the Wolfeboro Bay Center in Wolfeboro, NH. He was born in Berlin, NH on December 20, 1940 the son of the late Robert and Theresa (Fitzmorris) Murphy and was raised in Gorham. He graduated from Gorham High School and served in the US Coast Guard for 4 years. Upon his discharge, he moved to Shelburne, NH and was employed by the US Forest Service. Howard obtained his electrical license and was employed by the I.B.E.W. Electrical Union #490 for over 50 years. He was a member of the Fur, Feather & Fin Club in Gorham where he had served as a director. He enjoyed hiking, fishing, country music, watching the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Bruins.

Family includes his children Kelly White and husband Jeffrey of Pembroke, NH, Colleen Murphy of Shelburne, NH and Shane Murphy and partner Annette of Buckfield, ME; grandchildren Jason White of Webster, NH, Kaitlin White of Pembroke, NH and Kaylee Russell of Matthews, VA; brother Warren Murphy and wife Peg; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Carline M. Rayner and siblings Roberta Joudrey, Tommy Murphy, and Wayne Murphy.

Services will be private. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery in Gorham. The Bryant Funeral Home in Gorham is in charge of the arrangements. Anyone who wishes may make a donation to a charity of one’s choice in his memory. Online guestbook at www.bryantfuneralhome.net.
