Henri A. St. Jean, 84, of Berlin, passed away on Tuesday March 3, 2026 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital. He was born in Manchester, NH on July 7, 1941 the son of the late Armand E. and Estelle M. (Phaneuf) St. Jean and graduated from Bishop Bradley High School. Henri was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He attended St. Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia and graduated from UNH in 1970 with a degree in Sociology. He had lived and worked in the Fryeburg, Maine area for several years, and then moved to Berlin where he was employed by AVH on Riverside 2 for several years and later at the Davenport School in Jefferson, NH. Henri was a member of Holy Family Parish in Gorham, was a member of the Knights of Columbus-4th Degree, was a local district deputy for the North Country, did volunteer work at the prison for 5 years and attended the Servant Leadership Program for the Diocese and Manchester, graduating in 2011.
Family includes his sister Charolotte Cargill and her husband Dan of Bellevue, WA; nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary (Rigney) St Jean on August 23, 2003.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday March 7, 2026 at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Bedford, NH at a later date. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
