Germaine E. Jackson

Germaine Estelle (Catudal) Jackson, 83, of Gorham, NH, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Born in Manchester, NH on March 10, 1943, Germaine was the daughter of the late Albert Catudal and Marie Rose (Soucy) Catudal. She was raised in Manchester and later made her home in Hooksett and then Gorham, where she spent many years devoted to her family, her faith, and her community.

Germaine was married to the love of her life, William “Bill” H. Jackson, for 47 years until his passing in 2018. Together they built a life centered around love, laughter, faith, and family. While raising four boys was certainly no small task, Germaine somehow managed to do it with patience, strength, humor, and endless devotion. Her family was always the center of her world.

She will be remembered for her quiet kindness, generous heart, unwavering faith, and willingness to help anyone in need. Germaine volunteered through her church community and found joy in caring for others. She loved gardening, cooking meals for her family, and spending time with Bill and their boys. Whether she was tending to her flowers, preparing a favorite family meal, or simply sitting together with the people she loved most, Germaine found happiness in life’s simple moments.

Those who knew her best will remember her warm smile, gentle nature, subtle sense of humor, and the love she gave so freely to the people around her. She touched many lives throughout her years and will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

Germaine is survived by her sons, Joseph H. Jackson and his wife Carolynn of Las Vegas, NV; Christopher A. Jackson and his wife Dayna of Keene, NH; Daniel P. Jackson of Placentia, CA; and John M. Jackson and his fiancée Alyssa Quinn of Bellingham, MA. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Kylie and Tyler Jackson, and Ryan and Conner Jackson.

She is also survived by her sister, Gertrude Dussault and her husband Richard of South Carolina, along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Bill, Germaine was predeceased by her brother Larry Catudal, her brother Felix Catudal, and her infant son Jonathan.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade Street, Gorham, NH 03581.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Church, 7 Church Street, Gorham, NH 03581.
