Berlin, NH Everett B. Poitras, 83, of Enfield Center and Berlin, NH passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 after a brief illness.
He was born on August 6, 1931 in Rumney, NH and was a graduate of Plymouth High School.
Everett was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1952 to 1956.
After 25 years of service, he retired from Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital in Lebanon, NH where he was employed as the remodeling supervisor.
Everett and his wife enjoyed many years of traveling the country in their motor home during his retirement. He was very active in many ways; skiing, kayaking, snowshoeing and hiking to name a few. Everett climbed Mt Washington at age 79, zip lined a two hour canopy tour on this 80th birthday and went downhill skiing at age 81. He will be greatly missed by his "Bucket List Buddy".
Three brothers and a sister died before him.
He is survived by his wife Patricia; two sons Kevin and his wife Tammy of Goshen, NH, Eric of Lebanon, NH; Five Grandchildren, Zachary, Erica, Trisha, Timothy and Kelly; one great-granddaughter Zara; four stepchildren Nancy, Karen, Michael and Scott all from Maine; his brother Ralph Poitras of Rumney, NH, several nieces and nephews.
A service will be held in the Lebanon area at a later date.
