Emile Louis Vendette

BERLIN----Emile Louis Vendette, 90, resident of Berlin for 25 years, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at his home on Norway Street. He was the son of the late Edward and Lucienne (Lefebvre) Vandette.

Emile was born July 30, 1935 in Lowell, MA. He attended St. Louis de France elementary school and Lowell High School. He was a communicant of St. Louis Parish where he was an alter server. After high school he joined the United States Navy where he served his country for four years and remained in the Naval Reserves for an additional four years. He was extremely proud of his time in the military and loved talking about his adventures overseas in Germany, Italy and France.

After his military service, Emile was employed by Raytheon Technologies for almost 40 years until his retirement from the company in 1995. Emile was an avid reader and loved listening to music. He had a vast array of books on every topic imaginable and had an enormous music collection. Although his collection was huge, he especially loved listening to classical music and operas. He also loved watching sports on television. During baseball and football season he could be found watching his beloved Red Sox and Patriots.

Emile is survived by his nieces and nephews; Paul and his wife, Jacqueline (Lavigne) Vandette of Wilmington, NC, Elaine and her spouse, Rev. MaryAnn Thibeault-Vandette of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Robert and his wife Lucille (Beaulieu) Vandette of Methuen, MA, Gary and his wife, Melissa (Dufresne) Vandette of Attleboro, MA, and Christine (Vandette) Vincent and her husband, Donald Vincent of Tewksbury, MA; eleven great nieces and nephews, Christopher and his wife Meghan (Ganz-Sarto) Vandette of Richmond, VA, Courtney Sott of Amesbury, MA, Carolynne (Sott) Goddard and her boyfriend Tyler Luber of Skowhegan, ME, Michaella (Sott) George and her husband, Sean George of Amherst, NH, David Vandette and his girlfriend, Basia Oliveira of Agawam, MA, Jason Vandette of Salem, NH, Arielle (Vandette) Smith and her spouse Ashley Smith of Sturbridge, MA, Ryan Vandette and his wife Cayt (Daigneault) Vandette of Cumberland, RI, Alexa (Vincent) Collyer and her husband Randall Collyer of Ludowici, GA, Emily Vincent of Tewksbury, MA, and Daniel Vincent of Tewksbury, MA.
