Elsa M. (Rost) Chambers

Elsa Marie (Rost) Chambers, 92, of Quincy, MA passed away on Saturday morning August 27, 2011 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, NH. She was born in Boston, MA on February 15, 1919 the daughter of Maximilian R. and Freida P. (Haeffner) Rost and grew up in Milton, MA and later moved to Quincy, MA where she raised her daughter and has since resided in Quincy. Elsa was a member of the Parkway United Methodist Church in Milton. She loved her dogs Molly and Jenny, her many surrogate grandchildren, picking daisies and viewing the Presidential Mountains in Randolph, NH. Members of the family include her daughter Jean Chambers and her companion Stephen Harris of Quincy, MA; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband James Alexander Chambers Jr. and her siblings Irene Mix, George Rost and an infant sister. SERVICES: Services will be held at a later date in Massachusetts. Anyone who wishes may make a donation in her memory to the Parkway United Methodist Church, Blue Hills Parkway, Milton, MA 02186. Arrangements are by the Bryant Funeral Homes, Berlin & Gorham, NH.
