Elizabeth A. Hawkins, 91, of Milan, passed away on Wednesday September 9, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Berlin on April 3, 1935 the daughter of Weldon and Gennette (McMann) Peabody and was a lifelong resident of Milan and Dummer. She graduated from Berlin High School in 1952 and had been employed for more than 30 years as an insurance agent for the Ouellette Agency and later for Vaillancourt & Woodward. Elizabeth had also served the Town of Milan as the Town Clerk, a selectman and town treasurer and had also served as a selectman for the Town of Dummer. She was a member of the Emily Flint Rebekah Lodge, enjoyed snowmobiling, snowshoeing, gardening (both flowers and vegetables), the outdoors and was an excellent cook. She loved her grandkids and her dogs.

Family includes her children Daryl Hart and wife Johnna of Thornton, NH and Dawn Dube of Milan, NH, grandchildren Correy Hart and wife Lena of Campton, NH, Douglas Dube of Milford, NH and Deanna Leborgne and husband Trevor of Newport, NH; great grandchildren Coralean Hart, Rreya Hart and Elcy Hart. She was predeceased by her sons Douglas and Dana Hart and her brother Weldon Peabody, Jr.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday September 16, 2026 at 2 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave, Berlin. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Milan.
