Doris Clay Lapete

Doris Clay Lapete, 81, died, Sunday September 2, 2012, at the Coos County Nursing Home in Berlin. Mrs. Lapete was born in Laconia on October 28, 1930, the daughter of Harriman and Juliette (Camden) Clay. Doris was a lifelong resident of the North Country. She was a member of Holy Family Church in Gorham, a former member of the Gorham Womans Club, enjoyed reading, her work and especially spending time with her family. Family members include her husband, Chester N. Lapete of Shelburne, five children, Stephen Lapete and his wife Beth of Tamworth, Michael Lapete of Gorham, Jocelyn Lapete of Greenfield, Paul Lapete and his wife Donna of Berlin and Mark Lapete and his wife Linda of Gorham, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Harriman Buster Clay. Calling hours will be held on Thursday Sept. 6, 2012 from 6 to 8 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade Street, Gorham. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday Sept. 7 at 1:00 PM at Holy Family Church, Gorham. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery.
