Obituary

Denise passed away on June 2, 2026. She was 96 years old. Denise resided for several decades at Hinchey St., Berlin, NH. Due to declining heath, Denise was admitted to Coos County Nursing Home in October, 2019. Born on February 8, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose-Anna (Poulin) Deblois. Denise was born in Jackman, Maine. As a child her family moved several times in Maine, and in Canada. Her father was a Boss of Lumberjack Camps. She finally settled in NH as an adult. On September 29, 1951 Denise married Leonard (Leo) Dumoulin and together they raised three daughters. Prior to her marriage, Denise worked with her sister, Anna, at Dreamland and at Newberry’s on the food and candy counters. After being married, Denise worked several years part-time at Granite State Rubber Company. She also worked as a waitress; Berlin City Diner, Choo Choo’s Restaurant in Berlin, and The Tower Inn in Jefferson, NH.

Denise was a loving daughter, sister, wife and mother, raised three daughters, cared for her lived-in mother, worked part-time and maintain her household. In later years she enjoyed fishing in her favorite local fishing spots and berry-picking in the Spring and Summer. She fondly enjoyed laboring in her vegetable garden and canning her harvest in the Fall. She enjoyed make home-made meals and deserts for her family. She also enjoyed dabbing in making paintings, and made several quilts. Family members cherish the results of her labor of love.

Denise was a devoted parishioner of St. Joseph Parish. After the combination of all the Catholic parishes now known as St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne’s.

Denise was predeceased by her parents; Rose-Anna (Poulin) and Napoleon “Paul” Deblois; her brother Napoleon “Paul” Deblois; and her sister, Elise “Anna” Labonville. Denise’s husband passed away in 2016. She is survived by her three daughters all living in Berlin, NH; Lise Peters and husband Robert “Bob” Peters, Rachel Beaudoin and husband Ivan Beaudoin, Pauline St. Amant and husband Daniel “Dan”; six grandchildren; living in Berlin, NH, Karen Peters, Gary Peters and wife Sara Peters, Michael Beaudoin and his girlfriend Cindy France living in Manchester, NH Melissa Beaudoin and fiancé Edmund Watson living in Shelburne, NH, Paul St. Amant and wife Courtney St. Amant, living in Greenwood, Maine with their children Eliza, Coltin, and Emilia; Jennifer Sasso and husband Ian Sasso living in Winooski, VT; three great-grandchildren living in Berlin, NH, Emma Peters, Ethan Peters, and MaKenna Letendre. Sister-in-law Cecile Dumoulin; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at the Bryant Funeral Home on Friday June 12, 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday June 12, 2026 at 1 PM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery on Cates Hill.
