Darlene A. Mercauto

Darlene Anne Mercauto, 59, of Gorham, NH passed away on January 3, 2022 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, NH. She was born in Berlin, NH on February 10, 1962 the daughter of Edward H. and Pauline E. (Bilodeau) Griffin and was raised in Gorham. She lived away until her first husband passed away and then returned to the area in the mid-1990’s. Darlene was a graduate of Gorham High School in 1980 and had attended the NH Vo-Tech in Berlin. She had been employed by St. Vincent de Paul Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center for over 30 years. In addition, she was a member of the Dupont-Holmes Post #82 American Legion Auxiliary and a member of Union Local #75.



Members of the family include her husband of 30 years Joseph Mercauto of Gorham; a son Christopher Mercauto and his wife Jennifer of Berlin; a daughter Jamie Gray of Presque Isle, ME; her mother Pauline Griffin of Gorham; two brothers David Griffin and his wife Elizabeth of Gorham and Steven Griffin of Berlin; an aunt Pauline Bilodeau of Lake Luzerne, NY; an uncle Frank Griffin of Newmarket, NH; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her first husband Ken Gray, her father Edward Griffin; an infant brother Michael and by her sister-in-law Cynthia Griffin.



SERVICES: A memorial service will be held on Monday morning January 10, 2022 at 10 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade Street, Gorham, NH. Interment will follow in the St. Kieran Cemetery in Berlin. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday January 9, 2022 from 5 to 7 PM.
