Obituary

Clarisse G. (Bedard) St. Hilaire, 96, of Berlin, NH passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on August 19th. Clarisse was born on May 24, 1930 to Stella (Croteau) and Edgar Bedard and raised in Berlin, NH. She married the love of her life, Charles St. Hilarie, at the age of 18. The two of them created a beautiful life together. They built a loving home with ten wonderful children. She was happiest when playing cards with her sisters and daughters, doing her puzzles, creating plastic canvas creations, working on word finds, and enjoying her visits with family. Those who knew Clarisse will remember her as a generous, caring, loving woman with a deep devotion to her Catholic faith.

Clarisse is survived by her children Robert St. Hilaire and Norman Girouard of Errol, NH, Leo and Annette St. Hilaire of Stephens City, VA, Roland and Nancy St. Hilaire of Turner, ME, Lillian and Emile Buteau of Whitefield, NH, Irene and Maurice Buteau of Berlin, NH, Lisa and Robert O’Neil of Berlin, NH, Raymond St. Hilaire of Berlin, NH and Susan and Randy Tardiff of Berlin, NH; 22 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; sisters Mary Jane Goulet, Grace LaBranch and Cecile Harriman and sister-in-law Lorraine Bedard. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles St. Hilaire, her daughter Jeannette Tupick and husband Norman and her daughter Claudette Tupick and her husband Michael, her grandchildren Jeremy Tupick and Jessica Nelson, her sister Theresa Bedard and her brother Norman Bedard.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday August 27, 2026 at 11 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will follow the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Thursday morning from 9 to 10:30 AM, prior to the Mass. Online guestbook at www.bryantfuneralhome.net.
